Best Homemade Dog Treats Ever - Tuna Fudge

This recipe is super simple yet so delicious that most dogs will do anything for it! Plus, it's easy to customize for your dogs dietary needs and preferences.

We love having a variety of high value treats to use during training sessions to keep our dogs interested and engaged, and this one is great to have in the rotation for those tough training situations like leash walking and coming when called.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces of canned tuna or salmon, not drained
  • 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it.
  2. Mix the fish, flour, and eggs until smooth using a mixer, blender, or food processor. Mash the fish with a fork first if using a mixer.
  3. Spread the batter across your baking sheet in a ¼-inch thick layer. It may not cover the full pan. Sprinkle the cheese on top.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes. The fudge should be set but still spongy. If it needs more time, flip and cook with the bottom up for 5-10 more minutes.
  5. Allow to cool then cut into pea sized pieces. Store in the refrigerator for up to three days or the freezer for up to 3 months.
